Rudy Coles


Rudolph H. “Rudy” Coles, 94, of New Bedford, MA, passed away Wednesday, August 16th at Sacred Heart Home following a lengthy illness. Rudy was proud of his career experiences, working at Houston’s first TV station, KPRC as a sound engineer, while attending the University of Houston as a part-time student, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree he would eventually earn in 1957. After relocating to Massachusetts, he was employed more than twenty years with Xerox Corporation

 

Marietta Marich


 

Former KPRC Radio personality Marietta Marich, well know for her program “Midnight With Marietta”, passed away on September 28 at Memorial Hermann Hospital after surgical complications. She was preceeded in death by her husband Bob Marich, also a KPRC employee. A Memorial service will by held at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Lane, Houston, Texas 77042 on Saturday, October 7 at 10 AM.

 

 

Ruth Oelfke


Former Channel 2 switchboard operator and receptionist, Ruth Oelfke, passed away Sept. 23, 2017, in Baytown, Texas. She was an early Channel 2 employee and fondly remembered by many from the days of the Quonset Hut on Post Oak Road.

Les Morrow


 

 

Les Morrow, a familiar face in the Channel Two film and production department for many years, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017.

 

 

 

Len Jackson

Len Jackson, a long time employee in the production department at Channel Two, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at age 73.  A Guest Book is available for family and friends at the Sterling White website.
