It was a surprise hearing that Velma Wiggins, passed away early Thursday morning. She had attended the annual Channel 2 Crew party just over two weeks before.  Velma worked at Channel Two as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President/Operations Manager. She retired in 1989 after 25 years. All of us who knew her will miss her.

Claude Burrows

Sadly we report that Claude Burrows passed away on Monday, February 9th. Claude was a long time engineer at Channel Two and known and admired by everyone.

Claude was one of the first engineers employed at Channel Two. He spent 41 years working there and mentoring those of us who came later. Claude was also a talented musician, both writing and performing. Even recently he was still playing with the Lone Star Symphonic Band and serving on it’s Board of Directors.  He will be missed by many.
