Ginny Pace


Ginny Pace, a familiar face on KPRC-TV during the 1960s, died Friday, March 22, 2019 in Southern California after a brief illness. She was 88. Ginny joined Channel 2 in 1964, working with Chris Chandler on his talk show and the following year on her own show, “Midday with Ginny”.

Ginny is survived by her five children, 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Hank Subotnik


 

Hank Subotnik, one of the original news truck operators at Channel 2 has passed away.  In his last few years with KPRC-TV he was a Master Control operator in Air-Ops.  Hank retired in 2015.

A memorial for Hank was held at Seasons 52 Grill in City Center.

 

 

George Craddock


 

George Craddock, former member of the KPRC-TV production department, passed away on May 12, 2018 at the age of 76. After he received a degree in Political Science at the University of Houston he taught in HISD, FBISD, and The Windham School District. His family will gather for a private remembrance at a later date.

 

 

 

Charlie Hunt


 

Charles J. “Charlie” Hunt, engineer at KPRC-TV, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2018 at age 92. Charlie was one of the first engineers at Channel 2, which at that time was KLEE-TV. When he retired he was Assistant Chief Engineer in charge of maintenance.

 

 

Kenny Boles


 

Kenny Boles, KPRC-TV newsman and anchor, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Kenny joined Channel 2 News in 1979, first working at the Austin bureau and then as crime reporter and weekend anchor. He later moved back to East Texas as News Director of KLTV in Lufkin
