Greetings from Colorado

I recently received an email from Dan Ireland.  Those of you who were at Channel Two in the early ’80s certainly remember Dan. Here are some of his comments.

I left KPRC 26 years ago to pursue my dream of being in the mental health profession and living in Colorado. My wife, Heather, and I are “living the dream.” We are very thankful that our hopes and dreams were not only met but have been exceeded.

Last night I checked the Channel 2 Crew web site. What a wonderful surprise seeing pictures of people who I had the privilege of working with and knowing. I wish that I had thought of this before the reunion but when I left channel 2 in August of 1982, Jon Burkhart gathered almost the entire crew into the small studio and took a picture of them. After all of these years, I still have this picture. I would like to donate this picture to the Channel 2 Crew. It is no surprise that after all of these years what has endured about our employment at KPRC was not the job itself but the people who we had the privilege of knowing and working with.

Looking at those pictures brought back some wonderful memories of working with the Channel 2 Crew. I hope that all who see the pictures have a similar experience as I have had of not remembering the work but the people who I had the privilege of working with and knowing.

Here are the pictures Dan sent. You can click the image to get a larger version.
