Retired and Former Employees of KPRC-TV

Longtime KPRC-TV engineer Billy Joe, “Willie”, Wells, 81, of North Zulch passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 in Temple, Texas.

Willie served his country in The Korean War and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant.  He then went to work for KPRC-TV where he was employed for over forty years.  Upon his retirement, he became active with the VFW Post 1907.  He was a member of the “Potlickers” which is a local BBQ cooking team and was a proud member of what is known as the “Barn Crew” which consisted of friends and neighbors who got together on a regular basis to eat and enjoy playing dominoes and cards.  Most of all; he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
